Physiology Lab

Equipped with diagnostic tools and equipment to study human body functions, vital signs, and biological mechanisms.

The Physiology Lab provides students with hands-on exposure to the functional mechanisms of the human body in both normal and pathological states. Understanding physiological processes enables nurses to interpret patient vital signs accurately, recognize abnormal physical conditions, and monitor treatment responses in clinical settings.

Key Features & Facilities:

  • Diagnostic & Monitoring Tools: Stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers, reflex hammers, pulse oximeters, and spirometers for measuring vital body parameters.
  • Hematology & Blood Testing Station: Equipment for blood grouping, hemoglobin estimation, total RBC/WBC count, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) analysis.
  • Cardiovascular & Respiratory Tools: Demonstration units for ECG interpretation, heart sound analysis, and respiratory volume measurement.
  • Neurological & Sensory Assessment Kits: Specialized equipment for testing nerve reflexes, vision, hearing, and tactile sensations.

Practical Learning Outcomes:
Students perform essential clinical experiments to observe real-time physiological responses. They master vital sign recording, understand fluid and electrolyte balances, evaluate reflex actions, and learn to identify early warning signs of organ dysfunction.
